Multiple Gun Violence Events Across U.S. Following Independence Day Celebrations
Several shooting spree's throughout the U.S. reported encompassing lethal gun occurrences across the United States on July 4, 2025, with reports of deaths and numerous injuries in various cities following Independence Day celebrations.
Indianapolis, Indiana, a mass shooting left two people dead, including a youth, and five others wounded. The incident occurred in the heart of Indianapolis just hours after the city's fireworks display, according to local reports. Two other youths were among the injured.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, also saw a major shooting event, with eight people injured, two of them severely hurt, at a bar in the Passyunk Square neighborhood of South Philadelphia. Police are investigating surveillance video to determine the number of shooters involved.
Cleveland, Ohio: One man was killed and five others wounded in a shooting at the Shoppes at Buckeye in Buckeye–Woodhill.
Brockton, Massachusetts: Six people were injured after a fight escalated into a shooting during an Independence Day party.
Albany, New York: Four teens and a middle-aged adult sustained gunshot wounds in the Arbor Hill neighborhood.
Dallas, Texas: Two separate occurrences led to deaths and injuries. A male was fatally shot in the 5500 block of Pick Fair Circle, and another male was killed with two wounded in an event at S Good Latimer Expy and Canton St.
San Antonio, Texas: A 38-year-old male was fatally shot in the parking area of an apartment complex on the Northeast Side.
Cleveland, Ohio: One man was killed and five others injured in a shooting at the Shoppes at Buckeye in Buckeye–Woodhill.
Charlotte, North Carolina: One individual was killed and two injured in a shooting in the 200 block of N Caldwell St.
Albany, New York: Four adolescents and a middle-aged adult suffered gunshot wounds in the Arbor Hill neighborhood.
Chicago, Illinois: Two separate shootings wounded a total of 11 people. Four men were injured in a drive-by shooting in the Little Village neighborhood, and seven people were injured in the Back of the Yards neighborhood when at least two men opened fire on them.
