Gunman Killed And Two Victims Shot After Opening Fire At Michigan Church

WAYNE, Mich. – June 23, 2025 – A shooter who initiated gunfire outside a church in Wayne Michigan, on Sunday morning was fatally wounded by church security personnel, authorities stated. The event, which transpired at CrossPointe Community Church, led to one individual being shot in the leg, and another security staff member also suffering a leg injury. As per Wayne Police Chief Ryan Strong, the assailant, identified as 31-year-old Brian Anthony Browning of Romulus, drove erratically to the church before disembarking from his vehicle. He was allegedly clad in a tactical vest and equipped with a rifle and handgun as he approached the structure and commenced shooting.
