Fatal Shooting In Colorado Springs Law Enforcement Forced To Shoot

Colorado Springs, CO June 26, 2025 A fatal encounter involving law enforcement on Monday, June 23, 2025, which led to the demise of a 51-year-old male, is presently being examined by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. As reported by the Colorado Springs Police Department, emergency calls detailing gunfire were fielded around 1:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of Michelle Court. Arriving officers encountered an adult male, identified as Jesus Ramirez Jr., brandishing a firearm. Authorities state that after oral directives to relinquish the weapon were disregarded, Ramirez Jr. purportedly discharged at least one round in the direction of the officers. In retaliation, two officers fired their weapons, hitting the individual. Ramirez Jr. was declared deceased at the location.
