Viceroy Hotels Resorts has announced that it will enter the Washington, DC market for the first time as it takes over management of two properties, the Donovan Hotel DC and the Mason Rook Hotel DC, beginning in July.
The Donovan Hotel’s sleek, modern design will receive a refresh at the hand of Seattle-based firm Dawson Design Group later this year. The 193-room property will re-emerge as the Viceroy Urban Retreats upon completion.
Located in the city’s vibrant 14th Street corridor, Mason Rook comprises 178 guestrooms, including 18 suites. The former apartment building is also home to a pool deck, rooftop bar, and Radiator restaurant. The property will undergo a comprehensive renovation this summer and is expected to return as the Viceroy Washington DC in early 2020.
