On Oct. 16, deputies with the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office contacted Nashua Police Department officers regarding a person for whom they had an active arrest warrant. They identified the person as Woodbury. Merrimack County officials sought Woodbury for two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, with the victim of the alleged offenses being under age 13.
Nashua officers are familiar with Woodbury, having arrested him in 2015 for an incident in which he ultimately pleaded guilty to second-degree assault. He received a sentence of one to three years in the New Hampshire State Prison for this plea.
Upon receiving the information, Nashua officers began the process of searching for Woodbury. After a search that lasted several hours, officers located him. He was hiding under a pile of clothing within a Nashua residence. Officers then took him into custody.
In addition to the sexual assault charge, Woodbury now faces one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. He was transported to the Nashua Police Department before release to Merrimack County officials.
