Sickening sex attack on woman while she walked through the park

A woman was subjected to a sickening sex attack as she walked through a Wirral park on Saturday morning.

The woman was walking in Central Park, close to Liscard Road, in Wallasey at around 6.40am on Saturday, February 9 when the alleged incident took place.

Merseyside Police confirmed officers are investigating a report of a sexual assault i n the park in the early hours of Saturday.

The offender is described as a white man in his late 20s of slight build, wearing all dark clothing.

Police are now appealing for anyone with any information about the attack to come forward.

In a brief statement shared with the ECHO this morning, a spokeswoman for the force said: “Merseyside Police are investigating an allegation of sexual assault which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.

“The incident is reported to have happened in Central Park, Liscard Road, Wallasey at around 6.40am as the woman was walking through the park.

“The offender, a white man was described in his late 20s of slight build and wearing dark clothing.”
