REAL Housewives alum Alexis Bellino responded to backlash after she criticized her “maid.”
The 42-year-old reality star posted on Instagram two pictures that showed exactly what she thought about the people who criticized her when she complained about her house keeper for not doing a good job.

The first image read: “To All: I can and WILL post whatever I want on my IG. My maids are well paid for and I love them. It was a joke.”
She continued: “Get over yourselves, stop trolling, find happiness and please unfollow me ASAP as I’m not looking for any of your approval on my IG and I DON’T need followers.”
“I will continue to be myself on my own social media platform. Life is good.”
“Find the happiness and peace in life and just know you will be blocked cuz I don’t have Instagram for your acceptance, not for any of you to spread hate. Thanks!!! Have a great day! Love and light!”
She then posted another picture telling her followers that she’s changed and therefore will be blocking the hateful comments, rather than responding to them.
She wrote: “I’m actually enjoying blocking all of you haters. I’ve always left hateful comments up because I don’t really care what you think of me.”
“But now that I have a son on IG I’m different. HATERS/TROLLS don’t matter.”
“I may end up with zero followers in the end, but guess what …. I have strong kids who know y’all are just miserable folks.”

She continued to express her thoughts on the power of social media over younger audiences: “Social media is clearly becoming a huge trouble for young children.”
“I will make this my life’s mission to stop all of you as I have kids coming into social media.”
“And by the way … you were never invited to be my friend! Remember that YOU are following ME.”
“Not vice versa. God bless you all. Find your true purpose in life. I promise you that God doesn’t want you hating on social media. #spreadlove”

These pictures then produced different responses from her followers.
Some people criticized her for her continuous use of the word “maid.”
One follower wrote: “And she continues to use the antiquated and offensive term “maids”.”
This word is akin to using “colored” where referring to a black person. I will gladly unfollow.”

Others applauded her for standing up to the haters.
One person wrote: “Alexis, you seem like a genuinely good woman. A good mother. A devoted Christian.”
“Please start ignoring these negative people! Keeping enjoying the good life!”
Another said that she didn’t need to defend herself.
A couple of days ago, Alexis faced backlash after she posted a picture where she called out her maid for not “doing deep cleaning.”
The picture showed two disconnected couches, along with a mess of feathers and crafts underneath one of them.
Fans were quick to show their outrage by commenting on the picture.
One person wrote: “Maids?! I mean … you could just clean yourself right?!”
While another one commented: “You sure [you’re] going to be ok to clean it?”
