The Och Initiative for Women in Finance encourages Ross undergraduates to explore careers in finance through outreach, education, and engagement. The Och Initiative also offers valuable resources to support your success every step of the way.
Experience the Och Advantage
Gain a broader understanding of what it’s like to work in finance through Och Initiative co-curricular programming. These opportunities are meant to complement the finance courses you take as a BBA student, like Making Financial Decisions, Capital Markets and Investment Strategy, Valuation, and Private Equity. You’ll learn even more about the world of finance, gain practical skills to apply in your job search, and create a valuable network of connections.
Learn through workshops: Attend a workshop to get a foundational understanding of the finance industry, or dive deeper into specific sectors like private equity, corporate finance, investment management, and investment banking.
Take a trek: Pack your bags! Treks allow you to visit cities with prominent financial sectors, where you’ll go on tours, learn from leaders, and grow your network. These treks heavily engage Ross alumni, so you might just hear a “Go Blue!” along the way.
Connect on campus: Get to know other students on campus who share an interest in finance. Attend events hosted by the Michigan Business Women student club, which brings together students across the BBA, MBA, and other programs.
Leverage the Career Development Office: Speak with a recruiting manager who is dedicated to helping students get jobs in finance — including commercial banking, insurance, investments, financial services, and venture capital.
