“RHOC has given me a great platform and I’m grateful for that,” she announced in her Bravo blog on Friday, Feb. 9. “However, I feel like I can only handle this show one season at a time. I need a break!”
McLaughlin, 36, said her family agreed in a “unanimous” vote that she should leave the show, adding she has “lots of other dreams to make come true in my life and in no way do I want to make a career out of being a housewife.”
McLaughlin is the second Orange County “Housewife” to announce her departure this year. In January, Meghan King Edmonds, who is expecting twin boys with husband Jim Edmonds, also said she’d leave the show. The Edmonds are building a home in the midwest.
