Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services announces community meetings in 2019

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County’s Division of Children and Family Services will hold a series of meetings in 2019 that are intended to spread the word about the division’s services and engage with local residents.

The “In Your Neighborhood” series will be held throughout the year at various locations around the county.

Residents will have a chance to learn about the division’s work and can ask DCFS staff members questions about specific cases, according to a county news release.

“We’re going into local neighborhoods to explain who we are, what we do, and all the different ways that we can help keep children safe and families stable,” said Director Cynthia Weiskittel.

“We’re building knowledge and trust so that when people notice a family struggling, they feel confident calling DCFS for help.”

All meetings are open to the public.
