Clothesline Project at Buffalo VA to raise military sexual assault awareness

“The Clothesline Project” – a powerful visual display of T-shirts on clotheslines to raise awareness about military sexual trauma, sexual assault, and sexual abuse – will come to the Buffalo VA Medical Center April 4.

The display will be open free to veterans, employees and the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in Freedom Hall, Room, 301 of the medical center, 3495 Bailey Ave.; veterans also are welcome to visit from 10 to 11 a.m.

The VA encourages those attending to wear teal-colored clothing to raise awareness and show support for military sexual assault trauma survivors. Attendees are invited to participate by decorating a T-shirt in a way that reflects his or her experience of sexual trauma and recovery.
